Hi, I'm Andy Oare

DOZENS OF SOLO PROJECTS
Someone recently asked me to articulate my single greatest professional skill. I said: it's my ability to translate the digital world to people who don't speak digital. For the past thirteen years, I've worked with CEOs, Comms Directors, and Chiefs of Staff to help them apply digital solutions to their toughest challenges. At heart, I consider myself a digital strategist. The solutions I apply are a mix of organizing, paid, organic, owned, and earned media tactics — and the mix is always a bit different.
My career started in graphic design where I acquired an eye for crisp and clear digital experiences. How things look continues to be so important. I then cut my teeth on the first Obama campaign, and the people and principles of that 2008 experience set the foundation for who I am today. After the campaign, I co-founded the first digital team at the Department of Energy. I took a break to travel the world and came back to manage six battleground state digital programs for the 2012 Obama campaign. It was there I met the love of my life, a native Chicagoan. Next, I began a seven-year journey through three agencies that exposed me to hundreds of advocacy, corporate, B2B and B2C digital campaigns. From 2018 to 2020, I oversaw the digital practice at Kivvit. In 2019, Kivvit was awarded the SABRE Award for Digital Agency of the Year, arguably the highlight of my career. In 2020, I took joined Joe Biden's campaign to lead his Midwest digital organizing programs, resulting in historic flips in Wisconsin, Michigan and Nebraska's 2nd District.
I am as passionate about my hobbies and my family as I am my work. I live with my wife and dog in the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington DC. I've been playing hockey since middle school and I practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I'm also a world traveler and I publish horror and dark fiction under a scary pseudonym.
